Over the weekend, of 11-12 March, 2023 the Managing Director and team of Ultimate Travel travelled to Blantyre District to distribute relief items to households devastated by Cyclone Freddy.

We went to appreciate first-hand the scale of the damage that the cyclone has caused to households in the peri-urban and rural areas surrounding Blantyre City, and the continued suffering of people that have lost their houses and are now living in the camps. However, we were equally inspired by the hope that my fellow Malawians share despite the loss and damage they have experienced, and are equally inspired by many of you that have donated in cash and in kind to aid victims.

The needs in the camps are so many, and go beyond food and clothes. We would like to encourage you all to keep contributing to various initiatives that are on the ground, and continue spreading the word so that many more people can get the help that they need.
